Seller, a well-established and trusted funeral directors, is seeking a Funeral Service Operative to join our close-knit team. About the Role: As a Funeral Service Operative, you will be an essential part of the funeral operations team. Your role will involve caring for families and their loved ones with the utmost respect, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standard. You'll be working Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with participation in an out-of-hours call rota, requiring a flexible approach to working hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing compassionate care when conveying loved ones into our care, ensuring the highest standards of dignity and respect.
  • Managing funeral preparations, from lining and fitting coffins to driving the hearse and cortege vehicles.
  • Caring for company vehicles and maintaining funeral equipment to the highest standards.
  • Assisting the funeral director with funeral services, including understanding cortege driving etiquette, leading the bearing team, and executing funeral duties.
  • Taking delivery of floral tributes, engraving nameplates, and coordinating with local cemeteries and crematoriums.
  • Keeping our work environment organized, clean, and professional at all times.
  • Sharing best practices and working collaboratively with our dedicated team.
