As a respected Monumental Mason (also known as a Memorial Mason), our unique showroom in Hinckley displays all types of granite, natural stone and marble memorials. We also have a small range of memorials in our branch office in Newbold Verdon. Our range is designed to give you inspiration when making this important decision. Any shape or design can be manufactured in any material within reason. Ornaments and designs are interchangeable or entirely bespoke.

We are proud to have our workshop onsite at our Hinckley premises, giving you peace of mind throughout the masonry journey and the ability to be a part of creating your lasting tribute.

Frequently Asked Questions

A grave marker is placed upon a grave as a temporary marker this is usually wooden and shall have your loved ones name engraved on it. A headstone is designed and created to last the test of time and commemorate your loved one. A headstone can be personalised by you to create a lasting memory. 

Burial:

We strongly recommend that once a burial has taken place that a minimum of 6 to 9 months elapses allowing the ground enough time to settle, it is important for us to wait and this shall be monitored by our expert memorial team. Once the ground is settled and suitable we shall inform you that your loved one’s memorial is ready to be installed.

Cremation:

If your loved one has been interred into a burial ground, less time is required for ground settlement. We are able to install their memorial on the same day as laying them to rest. 

Please keep open minded when looking for a headstone. Any of the memorials can be created in larger or smaller dimensions to suit your requirements and can be customised with your chosen designs and flower containers.  One of our dedicated masonry team shall advise what is and isn’t allowed within the burial ground, there are rules and regulations that need to be adhered to. 

On each of the memorial product pages throughout the website demonstrates a range of additional colours. We advise that you come into our showroom in Hinckley to allow you to see the memorial collection in person to ensure you are making an informed decision. 

All of our memorials can be manufactured in a different colour/materials. There may be some restrictions placed on your choice of material due to the rules and regulations of the cemetery or churchyard. One of our dedicated team shall guide and inform every step of the way. 

Yes, one of our dedicate team shall work closely with you to ensure you have discussed all of the details and options available. From design, memorial dimensions, shape of memorial, lettering style and colour – or creating something completely bespoke we have the expertise to guide you. 

Ceramic photos are available in a range of shapes and dimensions. All we require is a high resolution image. From here we shall discuss is the image shall be landscape or portrait and if any edits need to be considered ie altering the background. An alternative option to a ceramic photo is a hand etched photo of your loved one placed upon your memorial. Please not that not all burial grounds allow photos on headstones but we shall inform you if this option is not possible within your burial ground.

Yes, this is possible however it shall depend on the regulations of the burial ground. Our dedicated team shall be able to check and advise further. All memorials need to have an approved permit from the burial ground before they can be manufactured.

This very much depends on the size and material of your chosen memorial. Every memorial is priced on application. We are happy to work with you to ensure a befitting memorial is created for your loved one within your price range. 

A new memorial includes 100 letters within your quotation . Any additional letters shall be charged accordingly to the lettering style and colour you choose.  

For memorial that are being renovated or additional inscriptions are being placed upon an existing memorial they are charged per letter inline with the existing lettering style and letter colour. 

A Cemetery/ Churchyard fee is a cost that the burial ground charge to approve the rights of a memorial. We shall administer all documents and fees on your behalf and liaise with the burial ground. A Cemetery or Churchyard fee is not a standard cost they are dictated by the authority in charge on the burial ground, one of our team shall inform you of the cost. 

Our standard terms for payment are as follows:

Final Payment
Final balance is payable 2 week after your memorial works are compete and is in situ in the Cemetery / Churchyard.
