Dearest John
I remember our 1st meeting at Granny's disco over 50 years ago when you fancied my bestie and ended up marrying her! When Sam died I asked you to be my daughter's Godfather and you fulfilled that role over all those years.....thank you xxx
You will be a member of our family forever, love you sweetheart xxxxx

John, you've been in my life since the day i was born. My Godfather and Sam as my Godmother. You've been a wonderful Godfather and I feel really lucky to have had you in my life. From racing you up the cricket pitch (both of us a little tipsy)...I won ;-) to your naughty side and funny conversations and our email exchanges on your travels. I will cherish the man that you were, they don't make em like you anymore!
You will be missed so very much! Condolences to your wonderful kind hearted daughter, Emma who did you proud today and has the lioness within her and to Glyn and Finlay who have lost a father in law and grandad. Our thoughts are with you xxx

Deeply saddened on the passing of my beloved Uncle John. His generosity, warmth, wisdom, dedication to family, sharp wit and laughter touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
Rest in peace John, onto the next innings.
