Messages Of Condolence

Dear Sue, James & family

Please accept my deepest condolences. I attended the beautifully warm & touching service of thanksgiving yesterday. It was such a personal service for a man who was much cared about by many.

As a colleague of 6 or 7 years, I learnt a lot from and about Phil as we worked together - first at St Albans & then Leicester. He was very supportive and was instrumental in securing a departure for me so I could leave Aviva. He did try and persuade me to stay & got me a the chance of short term role in Birmingham whilst finding me a permanent job when things were more settled. However, he knew that Aviva wasn’t the place for me after GA & supported my wish to move on. I will always be very grateful for that.

I never got to see the perfect allotment…..I don’t know what he would have made of mine not being pristine…..but the produce is blimmin good and time spent there is so good for our well-being and I think he would have acknowledged that😁

I’m sorry that I was unable to see you afterwards - I’m sure there were lots of happy memories being recalled. I’m just pleased that we caught up a couple of years back (at The Red Cow Vinyl Night).

Our warmest regards x
Carmella & Carl Hunt
YOU CERTAINLY FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT FOR A LONG TIME. YOUR OLD FRIENDS IN ROUND TABLE AND SPARKENHOE WILL REMEMBER AND MISS YOU. I WILL THINK OF YOU ON JUNE 29 AND REGRET I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE THERE BUT MY PRAYERS WILL BE WITH YOU, SUE AND YOUR FAMILY.
JOHN MORRIS
We shared so many Masonic experiences over some 25 years and although you won't be with us in Lodge in person, you certainly will in spirit. I'm sure if we try hard enough we'll hear you 'tutting' from above when things don't quite go right in our meetings!
My heartfelt condolences to Sue and the family who were always there for you in your time of greatest need.
Rest in Peace Phil

Our deepest sympathy to Sue at this sad time. Although we have known Phil for only about ten years, our meetings have been characterised by his open friendship, lively conversation and firm convictions. He has been very much missed for more than two years past and his death is tragic. He will, however, never be forgotten by those who knew him.
